Reconstruction painting of the royal tomb at the base of Caracol Structure A34. Probably at the time of the chamber’s construction in A.D. 582 (based on a painted capstone date), a woman was buried with at least 7 vessels. Approximately 100 years after this event two males were interred in this same chamber with an additional 16 vessels; the right legs of both males were removed at the time of burial and placed elsewhere in the chamber. An ancestor bundle, representing yet another individual, was probably placed in the northeast corner of the tomb at this time.
